💡 Quick Calm Techniques

1.
Grounding 5-4-3-2-1: Name 5 things you see, 4 you can touch, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, 1 you taste. Brings you back to the present.
2.
Progressive muscle relaxation: Squeeze your fists tight for 5 seconds, then release. Work up through shoulders and jaw. Notice the contrast.
3.
Positive self-talk: "I've prepared for this. I know this material. One question at a time."
4.
Skip and return: If a question spikes your anxiety, flag it and move on. Come back with fresh eyes.
5.
Pace yourself: 100 questions in 110 minutes = ~66 seconds each. If you're at question 50, you should have ~55 minutes left.
